What if the apocalypse had already begun and no one noticed?  We carry out our day-to-day routines while the world crumbles all around us.  America, forever on the edge, passed the tipping point without so much as a whisper on the way down.
While travelling the backroads of the Southeast during a period of personal upheaval, I found a strange kinship in the shattered remains of abandoned places. In these ruins I saw my own post-apocalyptic landscape reflected back. Through the deliberate process of black and white film, I began documenting these vacated spaces as a way to process my own grief. This ongoing series explores the marks we leave and the stories that linger in the silence.  It examines what remains after a period of profound change, both in the land and in ourselves. It is about finding quiet salvation in making art from the ruins..
